About NCBI
By NCBI Lancashire
NCBI Lancashire is part of an international not for profit organisation, established for over 20 years, working to eliminate prejudice and inter-group conflict in communities throughout the world.
NCBI is dedicated to ending mistreatment of all groups, whether because of nationality, race, class, gender, religion, sexual orientation, age, physical ability, occupation or life circumstance. We see diversity work as changing the culture of society to be more inclusive and welcoming of everyone, regardless of their identities.
We train volunteers in the skills of leadership, prejudice reduction, conflict resolution and coalition building. NCBI is unique in combining social activism with the need to heal our personal and collective experiences of mistreatment.
NCBI has teams of people in Switzerland, South Africa, USA, Germany, Bosnia and the UK. In England there are teams in Lancashire, Leicester, London and Nottingham.
NCBI have regularly won British Diversity Awards. We completed a contract with the Active Community Unit of the Home Office to deliver seminars on the Prime Minister's Diversity Challenge to the Voluntary Sector in each of the 9 government regions.
